The Coffee Facial

Coffee, it's amazing... on your face! Radical idea, I know. I've tried a lot of natural remedies. With most of them, I have had decent results (aside from using lemon juice as an astringent..... it burned my face off ). But the coffee facial is my tried and true favorite. I used it for the first time about two years ago and I still use it every week. In the winter, the coffee facial removes your dry skin. In the…

The Truth About The Terrible Twos

Dear readers, The terrible twos are terrible. It true. My once sweet and innocent little baby is now a toy throwing, temper tantrumy, little hellion. Not only has her attitude done a complete turn around, she has now learned to climb furniture, turn on the oven, flush the toilet, hit, kick, and emotionally manipulate. Yes, I said emotionally manipulate. If that isn't enough, she is still the cutest little thing I have ever seen in my life. The terrible twos are Russian…

Ms. Moxie Kayaks

Dearest readers, I've never considered kayaking a "thing". Quite frankly, kayaking never crossed my mind in general. However, as of last week, I went on my very first 1.5 hour trip and I fell madly in love. Thus, I put kayaking on the very top of my 15 Goals of Summer 2015 list. Kayaking in the Upper Peninsula is always a beautiful adventure. I took quite a few photos with my iPhone on this little adventure, but I will post…

15 Goals of Summer 2015

Dear readers, I'm big on writing out lists and goals, doing this helps me focus on the major things that I need to accomplish daily, weekly, monthly, seasonally or whatever. Every Saturday morning, I write out a "To Do List" for the weekend as I'm working on this website. Naturally, now that it's officially June, I have written out my summer goals for 2015. I've been contemplating all week what my summer goals for 2015 should be. I sat and thought about them…

Summer Walk with Squeak

Right on schedule, my daughter and I go for a summer walk every day around 6:00 pm, unless the weather is bad, which happens frequently  way up here in Sault Ste. Marie. Tomorrow's blog is about my fifteen goals for Summer 2015, and going for beaucoup walks with Squeak happens to be right on that list. I cut her up an apple and we hit our regular route which is about a mile. This is also the same route I…

Tahquamenon Falls

Dear readers, Memorial weekend my mother, brother, and myself decided the weather was gorgeous enough to have a little adventure at Tahquamenon Falls. Here are some of the photos from that beautiful five mile hike. We only hiked halfway through, so we did not get to the upper falls, but we made a promise to ourselves that this fall we will do the entire 10 mile hike in all its glory. It's so beautiful there! There are always other hikers,…
