Ms. Moxie Goes Back to School…

September 12, 2015

And I thought I loved coffee before…

Dear readers,

I have decided to go back to school.

It was pretty much a no-brainer. The hospital where I work offered to pay for two of it’s departments to take a coding class. It’s one three hour class, every Wednesday, for the next year. Plus tons of self training and reading.

You think one class isn’t that big of a deal, think again. Medical coding is hard. And also pretty amazing.

Do you know what oxazolidinediones are? Me neither. But I will.

I’ve been wanting to go back to school for a year now. I was thinking about becoming a physical therapist last year, but then I did my research and found out that I live in B.F.E. (surprise!) and the closest school available was hours away. Doesn’t quite work when you have a two year old who needs to see her father.

So I waited for God to point me in another direction, which he did, and I am very excited (albeit nervous as hell).

Wish me luck! And don’t be too bummed out that my blog posts are about to become a little more random than once a week. It’s for a good cause, and self improvement, which is what this website is about.

Love and school books,

    1. Hi Alex –
I know life gets difficult sometimes but Uncle Dave and I are so amazed and proud of how you just keep pushing forward to achieve your goals. Good luck in school. I was actually looking into medical coding before I was offered my state legislature job. It’s very interesting. Take good care of yourself and little Miss Audrey. Love, Aunt Jodi
