I am an eternal fan of the monthly update letter. My best friend and my grandmother always sent me one every month. We have since lost track of this tradition in the letter world, but in the website world, I’d love to start.
January is over and February has started fresh today. So where am I at personally with life? I suppose it is the perfect time to update you.
LISTENING: I am currently on an early 90’s music kick with Tori Amos being at the very top of my list. I honestly forgot how much her music meant to me once upon a time. My best friend and I used to listen to her all the time and we saw her twice in concert. I’ve been listening to Cornflake Girl with “Sister Janet” being my favorite from that album. Also, most of the piano ballads from Under the Pink. I can’t believe how so many strange and beautiful songs can come out of one woman’s mind. I worry that we lost that raw talent in the music industry. Everything is so merchandised and plastic. Please correct me on this one, I don’t want to be right.
DIGGING: I stare at you. I long for you. My beautiful Canon Rebel T6i. I am also digging everything Peppa Pig. Cute, minimal, and English. You can thank my three year old for that!
EXPECTING: Squeak turns four in February. I have the best birthday present picked out for her! Mums the word. However, I am really sad that I can’t drive home this year and have a birthday party with all my family. It’ll probably be a pretty low-key birthday this year. I am also vehicle shopping. Yay. This weekend is also my first weekend going to the I-500 snowmobile race here in Sault Ste. Siberia. Good times ahead!
STRESSING: Vehicle shopping, being exhausted all the time, never having any energy to work-out or to be social. I definitely need to take a week off from life to sleep. I was really drained all month. I feel like I am not handling my stress well, or maybe I’m not having enough fun? I feel like I have a lot of fun though… hmmm… perhaps the winter blues are upon me? I bought a Vitamin D supplement, maybe that will help.
READING: Everything there is on SEO, marketing and stock photography. I’m taking a Webinar next week on Facebook advertising that was suggested to me by Melyssa Griffin via email. I am excited. So much to learn.
GRATEFUL: I am grateful that my child is growing into a complimentary, loving, and kind little girl. That I have the resources to write everyday. That I can afford to eat, live, and love in general. I am grateful for my job and coworkers. I am grateful for the amazing man in my life who takes me hiking and cooks me dinner. I am grateful for my brother who is always there to help me when I need an emergency babysitter or some one to load my recycling and bring it to the recycling center. There are always a lot of things to be thankful for.
